The tallies are in and Grand County has made its choices know to the world. These unofficial elections results will be finalized in 14 days after all overseas ballots have been counted, but the election is as good as over.

East Grand School District (4-year terms):



  • District 1: Thomas Schnellinger (unopposed) – 2,813
  • District 2: Christopher Raines (unopposed) – 2,526
  • District 3: Karissa Gagnon – 2,337, Christian Hornbaker – 1,520
  • District 6: David Hickam (unopposed) – 2,544

West Grand School District (Four seats, 4-year terms):

  • Proposition LL: Would allow Colorado to retain excess tax revenue from high-income earners to fund the Healthy School Meals for All program.

Yes – 911,652 (Grand County – 3,455)

No – 498,998 (Grand County – 2,157)

  • Proposition MM: Proposes reducing tax deductions for individuals earning over $300,000 to increase funding for school meals and other food assistance programs.

Ballot Issue 2A (Hot Sulphur Springs): Proposes a $100,000 annual tax increase to fund town construction projects.

Ballot Question 2B (Hot Sulphur Springs): Asks whether the town can publish ordinances by title only, reducing publication costs while maintaining public access online.

Ballot Issue 2C (Winter Park): Would allow the town to retain and spend surplus revenue on municipal services like parks, roads, and public safety.
