The Cozens Ranch Museum will present a month-long exhibition by local watercolor artist Ann Dagmar Rosati. Her exhibit, Seeing Light in My Favorite Places, will be on display throughout the month of September, with pieces available for purchase during regular museum hours, which are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday through Sunday.

Cozens Ranch stated in a news release that Rosati’s luminous works capture the light and beauty of Grand County and beyond.

“Rosati’s work is defined by her ability to ‘see the light’ in every day and extraordinary places from golden aspens in autumn to alpine sunsets on snowy peaks,” the museum stated. “Inspired by chiaroscuro, the contrast of light and shadow, her paintings reflect decades of dedication to her craft.”

Rosati first began watercolor painting in 1979, and honed her skills through workshops and plein-air studies.

“Now a long-time resident of Grand County, she continues to find endless inspiration in its landscapes and community,” the museum stated.

As part of the exhibition, the Cozens Ranch Museum invites the community to attend a special artist reception with Rosati on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 4-6 p.m. The free event offers an opportunity to meet the artist in person, enjoy her artwork and share in light refreshments.

“With a variety of subjects and styles, there is truly a piece for everyone to take home and treasure,” Cozens Ranch stated.

RSVP is required; please email samantha@grandcountyhistory.org or call 970-726-5488.
