Donkey on Valentine’s Day
Meg Soyars/Sky-Hi News
Valentine’s Day isn’t just a celebration of love for humans. On Feb. 14, a miniature donkey, better known as Sir Niblet Clyde McBuckles, visited Two Pines Supply in Granby to spread love to customers. Sir Niblet is one of several donkeys of Tiny As Is Donkey Experiences, a Granby-based company.
“We spread awareness and education, since some people have never been around donkeys before,” said Shoshana Olivier, who co-owns Tiny As Is Donkey Experiences with her husband, Chris Olivier. The couple also owns Two Pines Supply.
Shoshana explained that Sir Niblet’s unique name comes from a community-wide naming contest.
“There were several great names, so we just combined them!” she said.
Although Valentine’s Day has ended, those who still want to meet Sir Niblet and the rest of the furry crew can book an event or simply spend a day with them. Donkeys are quirky, social animals with unique personalities. Visit tinyasis.com to schedule an event or learn more.
