Fraser Valley Arts has released a new conceptual design by DAO Architecture for the Fraser Center for the Creative Arts.
The new renderings depict a multistory, 16,000 square-foot facility located near the banks of the Fraser River. The center is intended to be a gathering space and will host events such as art classes, art therapy, exhibits, galleries, art sales and other art-centric events.
There is even a single apartment for a future artist-in-residency program.
In a press release from the Fraser Valley Arts, it writes that this is a conceptual design and will not be the final blueprints. As fundraising efforts grow and the groundbreaking nears, community members will be invited to participate in the final design of the building.
So far, the arts nonprofit has successfully raised $1.5 million for the center and the town of Fraser has committed land for it.
