Fraser was the coldest spot in Colorado on Friday morning

Areas in Fraser and Tabernash experienced the coldest recorded temperatures in Colorado during a 12-hour period, ending Friday morning.

Fraser residents experienced a frigid minus 27 degrees early Friday, Nov. 29, according to the National Weather Service office in Denver/Boulder.

The National Weather Service recorded the coldest temperatures in Colorado towns and cities during a 12-hour time period ending at 5:48 a.m. Friday. The Fraser flats at U.S. Highway 40 recorded the lowest temperature in the state during that time.

Other locations in Grand County also experienced icy weather, including Tabernash at minus 24 degrees, Grand Lake at minus 20, and Granby airport and Kremmling, both at minus 7.
