Downtown Granby is pictured July 10, 2024. Federal wage data from that period demonstrates Summit County's average wage lags behind that of other Western Slope resort counties, even those considered to have a similar cost of living.

Granby businesses, building owners and residents can join Destination Granby on Friday for a free Main Street 101 session with Colorado Main Street. The informational session will be held at the Granby Library.

During the Main Street Mingle, attendees can learn about visions for Granby’s downtown corridor. The meeting begins at 8:30 a.m. with refreshments, then a presentation at 9 a.m.

The Colorado Main Street Program states it offers support for community-led downtown revitalization. The Colorado Department of Local Affairs heads the program. Granby is an official Main Street-designated town — one of 25 towns in Colorado.

In 2021, the town received a $757,140 grant through the Main Street Program, using the funds to revitalize several downtown buildings.

To RSVP for the event, please email megan@destinationgranby.com by noon on Thursday.

The meeting is hosted by Destination Granby and Colorado Main Street.
