People have been calling anxiously since early November, asking “What will Grand County Library District’s Access Grand have to offer for winter fun this season? Inquiring minds want to know!”
Drum roll…we have the answer.
The library pass program, Access Grand, had another generous donation from both Winter Park Ski Resort and Snow Mountain Ranch.
Please follow the guidelines when you reserve a day pass to swish down the slopes of Winter Park Ski Resort. Bring up to four people to glide the groomed trails of Snow Mountain Ranch, our most popular pass for 2023.
Moffat Road Railroad Museum always adds to the holiday spirit, which is open now through Jan. 6, 2024. You can reserve a day pass for two adults and two children. This is a local favorite event – the magical Christmas train display.

Of course, all should make time to visit at least one of the Grand County Historical Association museums. They offer a cozy and informative experience into the history of Grand County.
Fraser’s Cozens Ranch Museum is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is touted as the “Biggest Little Museum.” Hot Sulphur Springs’ Pioneer Village Museum provides “a window into the past life of early Grand County ranchers.”
Headwaters River Journey Museum consistently gets the award for the most, “You have got to go!” statements. Patrons appear joyously shocked by how much they learned and enjoyed this interactive water and wildlife experience.
Grand Concerts has enriched lives by donating tickets to Access Grand for their world-renowned classical music concerts. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to making classical music accessible to Grand County residents. Their mission is in harmony with the library district’s motto of “mountain libraries elevate minds.” Seize this opportunity.
Fraser Valley Recreation, Grand Lake Fitness Center and the Middle Park Health Wellness Center are terrific recreation centers where you can stretch and buff up those muscles. With the new year upon us, there is no time like the present to focus on healthy habits.
Ready to hit U.S. Highway 40 and get out of Grand County? The Butterfly Pavilion will convince you that you are in the tropics. History Colorado Center, the Denver Zoo, The Denver Firefighters Museum, Denver Museum of Nature and Science and Denver Botanic Gardens are also great places to visit with family and friends. If you are heading to Breckenridge, check out Mountain Top Explorium, a superior children’s museum.

Please check out Grand County Library District’s programs. They are diverse, free and award winning. Plus, you can check out snowshoes and join in the snowshoe adventures offered through the disrict.
Reserve passes by visiting GCLD.org, Access Grand. Take advantage of boundless opportunities provided by the library district. If your organization is interested in joining Access Grand’s list of passes, please contact Tallie at media@gcld.org.
