David Bailey

Dave Bailey passed away peacefully with his family at his side Nov. 2, 2019.

Dave was born in Alamosa, Colorado. When he wasn’t helping with the family ranch, he worked at the local parts store. Dave married Jeanette (Jan) Fowler and they moved to Granby in 1964 and purchased Granby Auto Parts.

They had three children, Kenny, Gary and Tawnya. Over the years, Dave participated in many hobbies, such as flying model airplanes, bowling, fishing, and snowmobiling, only to name a few.

Dave loved all animals, especially his dogs. He also enjoyed feeding and watching the birds, which likewise led to other wildlife venturing into his yard. He had a huge heart and never wanted to see a furry friend in need.

Dave is survived by his wife and two children along with four grandchildren, four great grandchildren, many brother and sister in-laws, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Kenny, his parents, two sisters, a step-brother, and other family members.

His Celebration of Life will be from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at the Granby Library Community Room, 55 Zero Street, Granby, Colorado. Casual dress, stop by for a minute or for hours.
