Pet of the Week: Grizzly

Meet Grizzly. He will be two-years-old in December, and is still a big, goofy pup. He is a Akita German Shepherd mix, already neutered and fully vetted.
For the first part of his life, he was a free spirit with no clue what a leash was. But since coming to the shelter, Grizzly had learned a lot thanks to the trainers. Now, he is a great walker, loves learning new things, and will do just about anything for a tasty treat .
Grizzly has lived with dogs before, but shelter staff aren’t sure about cats or young children. His favorite hobby is climbing on top of his doghouse to watch the world go by.
Grizzly’s still young and inexperienced, but with the right mix of love, consistency and boundaries, he can grow into the very best boy. With his size and smarts, he will definitely need continued training and socialization, but has so much potential for the right family.
