PHOTOS: Festival of Trees raises over $26,000 for nonprofits

The 20th annual Festival of Trees in Fraser brought a jolly crowd the Grand Park Community Recreation Center on Dec. 5. Hundreds of spirited revelers gathered to admire a variety of Christmas trees decorated by Grand County non-profits. Attendees could also bid on desserts, scarf free hot dogs and say hello to Santa and Mrs. Claus.

The nonprofit with the largest winning bid was Grand County Advocates who received at $5000 donation for their Christmas tree. The runner up was Mountain Family Center with a $3000 bid followed by Middle Park Medical Foundation with a $1000 bid.

At the end of the night, $26,245 was raised for 29 local organizations. The event is organized by the Fraser River Valley Lions Club.
