Ever wanted to get behind the wheel of an electric vehicle? How about a Tesla Model 3, Ford Lightning F150 or Ford Mustang Mach E?

An upcoming Electric Vehicle 101 workshop and EV Ride & Drive event will give community members a chance to take one for a spin.

The event will be at the Snow Mountain Ranch YMCA on Saturday, Sept. 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The EV 101 workshop will be from 9-10 a.m. at the YMCA’s Schlessman Family Camper Hub. It is organized by the Mountain Parks Electric, the town of Winter Park, Drive Clean Colorado and the YMCA.

The workshop will include information about electric vehicles available in Colorado, updated incentives and rebates, public and residential charging options, and more. After the workshop, attendees can test drive an electric vehicle. Models that can be test driven are Mountain Parks Electric’s Tesla Model 3 and Ford Lightning F150, along with a Ford Mustang Mach E.

To sign up in advance to test drive a vehicle, please visit the signup app at MPEI.com/Events. Mountain Parks Electric, the town of Winter Park, Sustainable Grand and others will have informational tables at the event.

Attendees at the event are also welcome to enjoy the YMCA property, including biking and hiking trails. Light snacks will be available; please remember to bring your water bottle.

Attendees will be able to test drive a Ford F-150 Lightning at the Electric Vehicle 101 workshop and EV Ride & Drive on Sept. 20, 2025.
