Trail Ridge Road remains closed following Oct. 4 closure

Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park is temporarily closed to through travel. The road closed on Saturday, Oct. 4 at 5 p.m. due to expected winter weather. There’s currently no estimated time of reopening.
Trail Ridge Road connects Grand Lake with Estes Park through Rocky Mountain National Park. At its highest, the road reaches 12,183 feet. Weather can be unpredictable at that elevation in the fall months, and the road typically closes for the season in mid-to-late October.
