Unattended death reported in Granby

At about 6:53 p.m. June 5, officers with the Granby Police Department, Grand County Sheriff’s Office and Grand County Emergency Medical Services responded to the 300 block of East Agate Avenue in Granby after receiving a request for a welfare check, according to a June 8 news release from the Granby Police Department.

“Officers were told the person missed work two days in a row without a call, and that was unusual,” the release stated. “A concerned friend contacted law enforcement and requested a welfare check on the person. Upon entering the residence, officers discovered a deceased male.”

The incident remains under investigation. Sky-Hi News has contacted the Grand County Coroner’s Office, Granby Police Department and the Town of Granby for additional information.
