I follow Grand County Community on Facebook. So often people post misplaced items, lost animals and even miss delivered packages hoping the owners can be found. I do not live in Grand County; I am a resident of north central Kansas, but the concern this community shows for others is inspiring. 

While visiting Grand Lake last Saturday and enjoying the day’s activities, I inadvertently walked to the next block leaving my purse lying next to my chair. After a moment of panic, and a fast trek back, I found my purse exactly where I left it.  There are not many places that personal belongings, let alone a purse, would be not be quickly snatched when left unattended. 

My husband and I traveled to Grand County to see our daughter and take in the picturesque landscapes of the season. I left with a great appreciation of the integrity of the people who live there as well.
