Walton-Smith – Don’t miss Grand Lake’s ‘Rude Awakening’
Grand Lake, CO Colorado
It’s a good thing we don’t have tall buildings in Grand Lake. With the unending snowstorms of the past three weeks, I’m sure we would have had some jumpers.
The blue skies and warm temps have returned just in time. Now we just need the mud to dry up. But don’t get too comfortable in your shorts and sandals, there is still a whole month before summer officially arrives. As I have always said, we only have two seasons here … this winter and next winter.
It’s hard to believe that we’ve been celebrating the annual rite of passage into the summer season for 20 years. Daven Haven way. The Great Rude Awakening 2010 is Thursday, May 20, at 6-ish. Join community members, good friends and great music around the traditional bonfire. See you there.
This is cleanup week in Grand Lake. The Grand Lake Women’s Club will meet on Thursday, May 20, at 10 a.m. at the Grand Lake cemetery to clean up any trash, broken branches, etc. Bring gloves; plastic trash bags will be provided.
