Colorado water managers to discuss drought and wildfire preparedness during virtual talk

Altitude Realtors will host the event as part of a virtual series that aims to inform residents about wildfire risk

Altitude Realtors has launched a series on what property owners should know about wildfires in Colorado and how to prepare for the upcoming fire season.

The next event in the virtual series will be held on Thursday, May 7, from noon to 1 p.m. and will feature Colorado water leaders who will share updates on water conditions, river operations and policy impacts for mountain communities and property owners, according to a news release.

Speakers will include Summit County Water Commissioner Troy Wineland, Yampa River Operations Coordinator Brian Romig, Fairplay Water Commissioner Garver Brown and Arkansas River Basin Division Engineer Rachel Zancanella.
