Middle Park Health Emergency Departments gets national award for patient experience twice in a row
For the second year in a row and third time overall, Middle Park Health Emergency Departments were awarded Press Ganey’s 2023 Human Experience Guardian of Excellence Award.

“The Press Ganey Guardian of Excellence Award is a prestigious recognition given to healthcare organizations that consistently achieve high levels of patient satisfaction and deliver exceptional care,” Dani Kloepper wrote, who is Middle Park Health’s director of quality, risk and emergency management.
Middle Park Health was awarded the recognition in 2019, 2022 and now 2023. This award is part of Press Ganey’s annual ranking of the top hospitals and health systems in the country according to patient experience.
“The award is based on patient feedback and recognizes organizations that score in the top 5% for overall patient experience nationwide. Winning this award demonstrates a commitment to providing compassionate, high-quality care and is a testament to healthcare professionals’ hard work and dedication,” Kloepper wrote.
The Guardian of Excellence award recognizes five categories — clinical quality, consumer experience, employee experience, patient experience and physician experience.
“I’m proud of the care that our team delivers on a daily basis. The recognition from Press Ganey for the second year in a row speaks to the high quality of care we provide to our communities and visitors. I look forward to bringing that same level of customer service and quality to our new Fraser facility in the coming year,” Jason Cleckler wrote, the CEO of Middle Park Health.
Press Ganey is a health care company mostly known for assessing patient satisfaction. The company works with more than 41,000 healthcare facilities in its mission to reduce patient suffering and improve the overall experience of care.
“Congratulations to our emergency department teams for being awarded the Press Ganey Human Experience Award for 2023! Please know that you are always top shelf in my book, but it is so nice to get recognition on a national level. A big thank you goes to our physicians, nursing staff, clinical care technicians, patient registration specialists, laboratory staff, radiology staff and everybody in between,” wrote Laura Wooldridge, Middle Park Health’s director of emergency and inpatient services.
