Driving up U.S. Highway 34 towards Grand Lake on the evening of Monday, Sept. 22, the rain pelted the windshield with a steady, yet chaotic pattern. As the storm suddenly cleared, a beautiful rainbow emerged from Shadow Mountain Lake.
