Beginning Monday, Oct. 13, CDOT crews will remove and replace metal guardrails along eastbound U.S. Highway 40. Crews will also continue installing new signs.

Drivers can expect delays, with one lane open at all times on both east and westbound Highway 40. The safety improvement project is on schedule for completion in late October.

The speed limit is reduced to 45 mph through the work zone. If flaggers are present in the work zone, the speed limit may be reduced to 40 mph. Work will be from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13 through Friday, Oct. 17.

The project is anticipated to be completed by late October.
