Winter Park Resort announces opening day
The resort got a recent boost in snow from several back-to-back storms
Winter Park Resort will open for the 2024-25 season on Friday, Nov. 8, at 9 a.m. The resort will conduct a banner break at the Gemini Express lift at 9 a.m.
The Gemini Express, Arrow, Endeavour, Meteor and Spirit lifts will all be open and Parkway, Porcupine, Village Way and Sorenson Park will all be available for skiing and riding. A total of 30 acres will be open, which is double the terrain compared to the resort’s opening day last season. This is due in part to the resort’s new snow making improvements and recent snowfall.
In a Facebook post, the resort also encouraged guests to thank staff who have been working hard to “get everything ski-season ready.”
