Colorado residents can get a $450 discount on a new e-bike from participating retailers through the state’s e-bike rebate program. The rebate will decrease from $450 to $225 on Jan. 1, 2026.

XSports, Icebox Mountain Sports in Fraser and Country Ace Hardware in Granby are three retailers in Grand County authorized to administer the upfront discount to local customers.

The rebate, administered by the Colorado Energy Office, offers one discount per resident each year and requires proof of a Colorado address, such as a driver’s license, utility bill or lease dated within the last three months.

To qualify, e-bikes must be new, have a motor rated at 750 watts or less and meet UL certified safety, security and sustainability standards. All three classes of e-bikes are eligible, including adaptive models. The rebate aims to make e-bikes more affordable and expand access to clean transportation across the state.

For eligibility details and the full list of participating retailers, visit the Colorado Energy Office’s e-bike tax credit webpage.
