The West Grand Mustangs made fast work of the Soroco Rams on Senior Night, racing to a 42-0 first quarter lead invoking the running clock. From there the Mustang junior varsity offense entered the game and moved the ball quite well. The junior varsity defense joined them in the second half to finish the game.

Some highlights for the Mustangs: Joe Probst had three interceptions, to push his state leading total to 10; quarterback Blake Terryberry threw four touchdowns, two to tight end Jackson Steinle and one each to Walker Howell and Probst; Ryan VanOosten recovered a fumble and turned it into a 30-yard touchdown run; freshman Jack Burton led all rushers with 116 yards and a touchdown.

The final score was 48-8.

This week the Mustangs host league rival, the Vail Christian Saints, for homecoming. They are 4-2 on the season and this game is almost always ( for the past 14 years) for the league title. The highly anticipated game is Friday at 7 p.m. Next week is a bye week for the team and they then finish the regular season at Hayden.

Currently, the 7-0 Mustangs are seventh in eight-man rankings.
