I am excited to announce my candidacy for the Granby Board of Trustees. I aim to bring a fresh perspective and dedicated leadership to our town’s governance.
I have been a Grand County resident for 17 years. I have one child attending Granby Elementary School and another soon to enter preschool. I feel this gives me an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities families in our community face.
I graduated from the University of Massachusetts Amherst with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a concentration in accounting. I work as a senior tax accountant and I am an owner of Rollin’ Street Bakery with my partner, Julie. Prior to that I worked with Winter Park Ski Patrol, Colorado Outward Bound School and as a water/wastewater treatment plant operator for Winter Park Water and Sanitation District.
These experiences have equipped me with the skills needed to make informed decisions.
Beyond my professional experience, I am a board member for the Grand County Board of Adjustment. This work has given me firsthand insight into our community’s needs and believe I have a track record of balanced decision-making.
As a candidate, I am focused on fiscal responsibility with respect to the north service area water plant project. I would like to see improved downtown traffic and pedestrian management.
Furthermore, I hope to ensure sustainable community growth with an emphasis on Granby’s unique history. I envision a town where families thrive, businesses grow and every resident feels connected.
Outside my professional and community work, I enjoy skiing, mountain biking and the amazing local community events. I also enjoy spending time with my partner and our kids — Gabe and Hiro.
